Any recommendations on setting changes?

Post by delfinparis » Tue Aug 05, 2014 6:55 pm

I upgrades from ResMed 460 to ResMed auto - I've been experimenting with the auto setting. At my sleep study they stabilized me at 9cm. When I got the non-auto ResMed they set it up for 9cm (ramp from 4-9 in 20 min). I was using cflex+.

Now that I have auto, I have it set to 4cm to ramp up to 9cm (in 10min). I have the auto set from 9cm to 20cm. It seems to hover around 9-9.5cm on auto.

What's the thoughts about a-flex vs c-flex? I'm using a-flex, but I don't know if it really matters.

Here's my stats. I'm not sure exactly what I'm asking, but do you see anything goofy? I can make any and all adjustments.

Thanks in advance!

According to your profile you do not have a ResMed machine. As far as settings...I would turn off the ramp and set the machine at 8 to 12. Then leave the settings alone for a few weeks and watch your data. Right now your AHI looks fine.

My profile says ResMed Auto, I believe. Are you referring to my signature? Yeah, AHI looks pretty good, so I'm terribly worried. Thanks for looking at it!

there's no such thing as a resMED 460, and resMED machines don't have cflex.

if you have cflex, you've got a phillips respironics remstar.

Sorry, RemStar. I just goofed.

Your profile says PR System One Remstar Auto which is a Phillips Respironics machine.
ResMed is not the same as Remstar...ResMed is another brand.
Since you mention AFlex and CFlex...you are using a Respironics machine and not a ResMed machine.
Your humidifier choice is incorrect though...the one you chose was discontinued in 2007. The correct choice for humidifier with a PR System One 60 series machine would be
PR System One 60 Series heated tube humidifier with heated tube (even if you don't have the optional heated tube).
The Remstar part of the model name is irrelevant because Respironics has used Remstar in every one of their models since they started making these machines.

Yes, thanks - I meant RemStar (not ResMed). Also, I updated my humidifier. Thanks for noticing.
