Sold: New DS560 at $400 and New S9 AutoSet at $550
Re: For Sale: New DS560 at $400 and New S9 AutoSet at $550
This is the reply that I got from CPAP.com to provide me an XPAP's mfg year before I'll pay for it:
"Greetings,
Thank you for your email. There is not a way that we will be able to provide this information to you. Unfortunately, we do not support this level of detail in fulfillment. However, we will honor the full two year manufacturer warranty if you purchase the S9 AutoSet from us.
Thank you for coming to us with your CPAP needs. If we can help further, please contact us by email at cpap@cpap.com or by calling us toll free at 800-356-5221, or on our direct line at 713-351-3414. We are here to help.
Regards,
Genee C

My question was:
This is a question: if I want to buy a CPAP machine from
you, for example a Resmed S9 Autoset, could you then provide
me, before I pay for it, the year that the machine which
I'll get, was manufactured? This mfg year is imprinted on
the black plastic base of the machine (Flow Generator in
this case). And also provide me where the machine was made,
which is printed on a white label on the back of the
machine? My intention would be to buy a machine that was
manufactured only recently and thus, sort of, assure me that
I'll have the up to date Resmed's, technological patents,
incorporated in the machine.
Let me check with other Internet providers.

Re: For Sale: New DS560 at $400 and New S9 AutoSet at $550
I recently received a new S9 Autoset...There is no manufacture date on the black plastic base. The machine was made in Singapore. My older S9 Autoset also shows no mfg date.

the year of mfg is on the sticker on the back, first two digits are the country, second two digits are the year.

Look for a sticker with a 10 digit number and bar code back by the air intake. It's in the back and not on the bottom like PR S1 stickers are.LSAT wrote:No code like that on either of my units
the first 4 digits are the code
mine starts with 2212xxxxx
22 denotes made in Australia...and it also plainly says it on the sticker
and the 12 means 2012 manufacture...that's as close as we can get. There may be additional guides using whichever firmware version is on the machine but we don't have access to all those little details.
The Ref number which is the model number is also on this same sticker.

Re: For Sale: New DS560 at $400 and New S9 AutoSet at $550
My S9 Autoset which I bought from my DME in early 2011 has year of "2009 Resmed Ltd" imprinted on the black plastic bottom , and manufactured by Resmed in Australia. My S9 Elite which I got thru Medicare in early 2011 is also 2009 and made in Singapore.
The SN of my S9 Autoset is: 22111195209 and I don't think it has anything to do with the mfg year.

yes, you simple git, because that's the year they made the plastic molds that those pieces are cast from. there's no reason for them to throw out very expensive molds every year and make new ones.avi123 wrote:My S9 Autoset which I bought from my DME in early 2011 has year of "2009 Resmed Ltd" imprinted on the black plastic bottom , and manufactured by Resmed in Australia. Re: For Sale: New DS560 at $400 and New S9 AutoSet at $550
I purchased one of these from Mark. I have been very pleased with his communications and the experience overall. It's been quite the contrast from my previous experiences with the local DME. I would have no hesitation buying from him again when needed.
Thanks,
John

Re: For Sale: New DS560 at $400 and New S9 AutoSet at $550
The machine I purchased arrived yesterday. It was packaged nicely and was brand new. Thank you Mark for all of your help.
After getting advice in a seperate thread from other forum members, configuration was straight forward and took only a few minutes. I feel better this morning than I have in a long time. I guess my 12 year old unit was overdue for replacement.
Now the education process begins so I can take full advantage of the available data.
Thanks,
John
