I've been told by my medical insurance company that they will only process payments for my CPAP supplies I purchase thru Medicare approved CPAP suppliers. One of the major suppliers listed on this forum's Commercial Supplier List is NOT approved by Medicare. Bummer!
Can anyone offer me the (number only please) of their supplier from the Suppliers List they know to be Medicare approved? I need to replace my mask and hose but especially the stretched out head straps very soon.
Thank you to all who may reply.

I think you're confused about which forum you're posting in.BubbleButt!@#$ wrote:I've been told by my medical insurance company that they will only process payments for my CPAP supplies I purchase thru Medicare approved CPAP suppliers. ? ? ? ? ? ? You sure you're not the one who's confused? The OP is a CPAP question in a CPAP forum!palerider wrote:I think you're confused about which forum you're posting in.BubbleButt!@#$ wrote:I've been told by my medical insurance company that they will only process payments for my CPAP supplies I purchase thru Medicare approved CPAP suppliers. BubbleButt, I take it you are on Medicare. Since Medicare is primary insurance it's standard practice for insurance companies to pay only after Medicare pays. The best thing for you to do is go to Medicare.gov and look up the contracted suppliers for your location. I don't have the URL handy. A search on the forum should find it for you, or a search on the Medicare website. Maybe Pugsy will chime in with the link.

yes, he's confused, and acknowledged it.idamtnboy wrote:

there is another cpap forum where it is forbidden to mention the links to any cpap providers, they maintain a list of suppliers, and people on the forum refer to them by number.
as in "I got a great deal at supplier #4".
did not his mention of "this forum's list of commercial suppliers' strike you odd, as well as the "number only please" request?
so, there.

Re: Medicare approved CPAP suppliers?
BB, you should have a Medicare supplemental insurer (also called a Medi-gap policy), and THAT's who you need to check in with. Some supplemental insurers require you to use an "in network" provider, and they can tell you who the in network providers are. If your supplemental insurer doesn't require an in network provider, you can use ANY Medicare contracted provider. So call your supplemental insurance company first and get a list from them.
