What machine do I have

Post by ontariomama » Sun Jul 13, 2014 3:36 pm

I purchased a used respironics system one machine with heated humidifier to keep for traveling but I want to purchase the heated tube conversion kit for it. My primary machine came with the heated tube and I love it. Doing some reading online and it appears the conversion kit will only work with series 60 machines. How do I know what series I have? All kinds of labels on the bottom but nothing that says what model I have. Help? I can send photos of the labels if I can figure that out on the site.

And, on the bottom, does it have "450" or "460" somewhere?

Remove the humidifier tank.
Look on the bottom of the main unit, upper left corner of the label and there is the model number in the upper left corner of the label.

Would it be REF 451P?

Yep! The numbers with the "1" in them are Canadian part numbers. And, I see you're in Canada.

You have a 451 (Canadian) the same as a 450 (US).
That is a Series 50 machine for which there is no heated tube option - sorry.
The good news is it is fully data capable so you will be able to see your therapy data.

Not as good as an integrated hose, but there are aftermarket heated hoses.

A hose cover can also help.

Thanks so much. I won't be ordering that respironics hose then, as it only works on the 60 series machines. I will order the other heated hose mentioned. Yes, my therapist programmed the data card to my specific prescription and I bought new tubing and nasal pillows/head gear. I got it at a steal for $100 with less than 100 hours logged onto the machine on kijiji. Gotta say I love the info I have obtained from this group and as a relative newbie (one year user) I have to say I love my system and am almost embarrassed to say that I've not had ANY issues with compliance since day one. My therapist says I have been a text-book case study. LOL Thanks again guys.
