Problem with Sleepy Head or Cpap machine?

Post by rkuntz » Sun Jul 13, 2014 9:00 am

What gives? After SH taking longer than normal to download from the card this morning to a spreadsheet that I use to track changes in AHI over time I discovered that, except for nights with zero AHI, ALL of the AHI values in SH back to and including 12 Dec 13 were doubled and those prior to 12 Dec 13 were unchanged.

Because Sleepy Head isn't software produced or approved by Phillips I periodically back check SH's values against the values on the 560P and in the past they've always corresponded. So today I checked the new values on SH against the limited data (AHI, 7 day AHI and 30 day AHI) available on the 560P and the values now shown there correspond to to the new values in SH, so SH is apparently reading what the machine provides properly.

I lowered the pressure from 11 cmH2O to 10 cmH2O on 8 June 14 but I don't think that's relevant because the pre and post 8 June AHI values were consistent then and were all doubled along with everything else back to 12 Dec 13 when downloaded this morning.

I suspect that something in the way the 560P is working has changed, does anyone have suggestions? Why would this occur and what does it mean? The machine seem to operate and feels exactly as it always has.

Thanks,
Ray

Which version of SleepyHead are you using? Remember that it is still beta, and there are bugs/unexpected "features" that creep in from time to time. If I recall correctly there is a bug in one version that plays havoc with your AHI, so it may be worth checking that out. Others, especially Pugsy, are far more expert than I on the latest version and the idiosyncrasies of each "active" build. The good news is that SH does not do anything to the data on your card, so it will be there for you when you get the cranky version of SH corrected.

SH 0.9.5 is VERY unstable.

Please upgrade to SH 0.9.6, which is MUCH MUCH more stable. When SH 0.9.7 asks you to purge the old data, say yes. If SH offers to reimport the data from SH backups, say yes. Otherwise, reimport the data from scratch.

When did SH 0.9.7 become available?
Why would you advise using 0.9.6 on the same post where you reference 0.9.7?

Typo on my part. Both things should have read SH 0.9.6, which is the most recent version.

Sorry about that typo folks.

I downloaded updated SH version and it doesn't download all the way my data then stops working!

I'm currently running 9.5. Guess I'll also be upgrading, then. I haven't seen any issues so far, but if there's a more stable version, why not hop ship before it sinks?

What link did you use for the download?

Which version of SH?

What computer operating system?

Sclark,

What link did you use for the download?

And is the problem that the download won't install properly or is the problem that once you open SH 0.9.6 that your data won't import properly into SH 0.9.6?

Mark has made a new and better home for SleepyHead: http://sleepfiles.com/SH/.
