New Here

Post by MJRigg » Tue Jul 11, 2006 12:28 pm

Hello, everyone.

My name is Michael and I've been a Hypertension / Sleep Apnea sufferer for the past 5-6 years. I'm from Northwest Indiana.

I'm currently using a REMstar CPAP with a humidifier and a full face mask (because I refuse to have surgery for my deviated septum - long story).

Anyhoo... that's me. Dry of mouth. Drousy of brain. If you saw me before noon you'd recognize me by the x-shaped mask strap pattern on my face.

Glad to be here!
Michael

Michael,

Welcome to the club! You're in excellent company here with a big group of folks who are all in the same boat. Post a question or comment and you're sure to get a wide array of responses including years of personal experience, trial and error observation and, as we used to say "book learning". Don't hesitate to jump into the fray and become actively involved. I've only been CPAPing for the past 6 weeks, but this is the first site I check every morning and often several times during the day. The helpful and empathetic members of this forum can make all the difference between compliance and utter frustration.

Glad you're with us!

Kurtchan

Welcome Michael! Have you considered getting strap guards? They eliminate strap marks on your face.
