Pillows (not the nasal kind)

Post by Dani » Tue Jul 08, 2014 8:22 pm

Hi another question from the little-bit-better-attitude newbie. I have looked but wasn't successful finding information on what type of pillow full face mask users have had success with.
I understand everyone is different and masks are different, but I am having a hard time using regular bed pillows!
Any tips would be most appreciated

I just use plain pillows.

Buckwheat hull pillow. When I sleep on my side, I can easily shape it such that my nasal pillow is in the clear. I like it because it mostly keeps its shape until I move around.

I initially tried one of those special $50 pap pillows. Didn't work for me. Good luck, Earl

I actually carved a custom pillow for myself out of foam. A total waste of time, and foam.
I did get some practice, though. Someday I hope to make something I can use.

Personally, I really like the cpap pillow, memory foam, with cut-outs on ends, for side sleepers. It's available from our sponsor here.

I use a water pillow. It works great with a ffm.

I've considered taking a pillow case and sewing it into a more PAP friendly shape, then using standard pillow stuffing and sewing that sucker shut. A cheap option, to be sure.

I use a tempurpedic pillow (the Expensive memory foam)... it's not designed for PAPers, and I started using it long before I started PAPing. Works well with my FF mask.
