CPAP to VPAP first weak

Post by Upalot » Sun Jul 06, 2014 8:56 pm

I continue to struggle with my leak rates and still trying to lower me AHI. I average 9-14 AHI most of the time using my auto set. My sleep doc feels i am struggling to exhale against the higher pressures and it might be causing me ecess mask leaks as well. So he put me on a VPAP this week to trial run the machine. my AHI for the first (5) nights are 6.74,5.87,5.13,8.41and 5.69. i also noticed that i seem to want to sleep more. i dont know if its because i am finally getting a better nights sleep with the VPAP or what. What do you guys think. Will it take some time using the VPAP before i actually start to feel a little bit better and can drop the always tired in the morning feeling? I would give just about anything to wake up and feel rested. I understand it will most likely not be like it was pre CPAP but to not feal like shit everyday would be very nice. Any advice would be great, thanks
