This sort of private message (etc) has been appearing on multiple forums irrespective of the forum topic - it's the new forum SPAM method of choice.

In most forums the admins will ban the user(s) who post them fairly quickly.

My private message about the latest spammer to Carolyn is still sitting in my outbox. I imagine that the Goodmans are away for the holidays. Rest assured that as soon as Carolyn finds out about it that the spammer will find themselves blocked. The Captcha thing was supposed to prevent this sort of thing but it sounds like someone is really wanting to spam us and either going through a lot of Catchas or they have found some way to circumvent the Captcha system.
Either way Carolyn finds this sort of thing even more annoying than we do and she will undoubtedly get with her IT team to try to sort out how this one got past the defenses.

Interesting to find that after I followed Chicago Granny's link above and then another link within that forum thread it seems that this spammer likes to also do the Nigerian 419 scam. While there are people who like to poke the 419 trolls just for fun, I am not one of them.

I haven't got another one so far....and I did open the first one just out of curiosity and then promptly reported it to Carolyn.
