OOps! I need to correct what I said (above 2 or 3 replies) The Passive Exhalation Port Flow for the Hybrid is:
__10 cm/H2O = 48 liters per minute (.8 liters/second)
__15 cm/H2O = 60 liters per minute (1.0 liter/second)
__20 cm/H2O = 70 liters per minute (1.2 liters/second)
Someone, a while back was talking about a web site with this data for all
popular masks. Does anyone no if its been done?

I have some difficulties with the pillows, too. I get leaks at the top if I move my head. I think my nose is turned up enough that it provides enough of a gap for the pillows to sneak out if I move.
Last night, I took ponytail holders and put them around the upper and lower mask straps. The effect was that it pulled the top of the mask up and in towards my nares more securely. I had one small nose leak last night and no mouth leaks, despite tossing and turning.
I have no doubt there will be a whole slew of ways that people find to fit these more precisely.

WTG. Shelley! I actually had removed the entire headgear and tried to secure the mask that way. I don't think I quite hit it, but will definitely look into what you just suggested. Rubberbands help tremendously with the Aura (jcarn's tip/invention), now your ponytail holders are helping with the Hybrid. After posting the above, I went to try your idea. Now try this. If you lift the seal that sits just above the top lip in order to bring the pillows tighter into the nares, does that work for you? It seemed to for me, but I wasn't sleeping with it. It may just be a matter of positioning all the seals of this mask in the right place if you're having trouble with the pillows leaking. Try that and let me know if you have the same success as I just did. I'll probably go to try to duplicate it later and it won't work .

I discovered by getting out my wifes makeup mirror (I now get accused of all sorts of things to do with makeup) is that I was using the wrong size mouth piece. I could see through the mask that part of the inner seal was not sitting on my face. Put on the medium sized mouth piece and the inner seal sits nicely on my face. I could also see that it just went around my mouth. When I tryied it the way the instructions suggested I felt the medium was to small as it covered part of my mouth. It seems the mouth piece expands a little under the pressure from the CPAP. Once I change to the medium I also discovered I could let off the pressure on the 4 mask straps quite a bit. The 5 strap across the top is tight enough to keep the top mask straps above my ears. Guess you shouldn't get into to much trouble if you use a makeup mirror so I would suggest you put your mask on, get the XPAP running and have a good close look at the mouth seal and the position of the pillows. Hybrid Mask
Hello everyone
I have worked for over a week with the Hybrid Mask and it does not work well for me. I have tried everything I could imagine even speaking with the manufacturer. I was using the large nasal pillows and large mask. I finally got the nasal leaks stopped and then the mask itself started leaking. I tried different sizes of pillows and masks and to no avail. Then the pillows inserted themselves right up into the nostrils and so I finally gave up at least for now.
The mask was comfortable and I loved the fact that I could mouth breathe if I wanted to.
I understand that it works well with a lot of folks and that is good, but for me at this time, I had to go back to the comfort gel.
I hope everyone else has better luck than I did.
