traveling to Europe this summer convertors?
Re: traveling to Europe this summer convertors?
turn the power supply (or unit, if it's built in) over and check the input voltage ratings, if it's 100-240ish, then all you need is a universal plug adapter that you can get in most any travel store... or probably that big online shopping mall named after a big south american river

If you have this machine:
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... ations-tab
You will notice that in the SPecs, it says:
Electrical Requirements 100 - 240 V, 50/60 Hz; 110 V, 400 Hz; 2.5A <140 VA (110W)(maximum power consumption). Instantaneous peak power consumption <340VA
All you will need is a plug adaptor for the wall outlet. Unfortunately, with your choice of countries you may need a couple, or a universal one with different spades that retract. The UK uses its own plug, France uses a Schuko plug and Italy has its own. I have heard that a Europlug (Type C) should work in all of them (even the UK), but there are some tricks required for the UK. I have a collection of adaptors, but I just bring the ones I need for any given trip. I have yet to make it to Italy, so I have no first-hand experience there.
I would get a UK plug adaptor and a Europlug. Most likely, that will get you going. I also have a 3-outlet universal power strip. It has a US end on the cord, but I just mate it with the appropriate adaptor and turn one outlet into 3 - with surge protection. It was about $20 online.

one doesn't wish to be too explicit, instead preferring to leave some research up to the reader

Re: traveling to Europe this summer convertors?
A suggestion is that you take a multi-outlet extension cord with you as well in case an outlet is not close enough for your cpap cord and you can plug that into your adapter and use the outlets for the cpap and for other stuff you want to charge. I learned this suggestion on this site or another forum and it has served me well. Enjoy your travels.
