Transcend travel Apap

Post by Sin killer » Mon Jun 23, 2014 6:05 am

Finished 4th night with my new transcend Apap with EZX which I bought strictly for travel. I wish I could report better but I am very disappointed in this machine. It emits a burnt oily smell that is faint but persistent and while u do get used to it, it is very disconcerting. Another issue is the EZX. I am very sensitive to exhalation relief and in this machine it is barely noticeable even though it was supposed to be preset to max. Finally, the machine has a distinct oscillating whine which transmits up through the mask. The combination of these issues makes it almost impossible to fall asleep with any ease. Eventually I do but wake often and fight again to fall asleep. One night I had to give up and go bavk to my S9 which is remarkably quite and very comfortable. One addition problem is that the software provided with the machine is not compatible with my iMac, something I think should have been made clear before purchase. Do u think I have a defective machine or is this typical of the Transcend auto. Whichever, I'm contacting the supplier to see what option I have.

I purchased one a couple of months ago. After checking it out, used in for a couple of weeks visiting with my wife's family in Brazil.
Love the size and as I put in my carry on and had none of the issues you described. Me thinks you may have a lemon ?

I use mine three days a week traveling and have had great results with none of the issues you report. It is a little louder than my home unit.
Send it back
Best regards

The Auto was not yet available when I bought my back-up (see below)
I really like the Intellipap, and can barely tell any difference from my Autoset.
PS: You reminded me to take my aromatherapy along when I next travel. Thanks.
