Hello,
I am new to this forum and I have searched for the answer to my question but can't seem to find an answer. Today while working on trying to get this to run on battery (for overnight scouting with my young son), I noticed a usage menu option. Mine currently says 2074/2080. I have been a longtime user of my cpap so the amount doesn't scare me but does this mean that my machine (which is working just fine) is going to stop working in another 6 hours (or maybe 6 nights)?
Also, my machine just says Resmed Autoset II. So anyone know if it would be a S8 or S9? I am trying to figure it out so I can get the correct battery. I have the Resmed DC adapter for it but every battery I use only lasts about 2 hours. My setting is auto between 9 and 14. My average is around 11.
Thanks in advance

Resmed Autoset II Usage Limit?
Re: Resmed Autoset II Usage Limit?
If your machine was an S9...it would be silver and say Autoset. If your machine is cream color it's an S8 and would say Autoset II.

It's really impossible to say when your machine will stop working. It could be the very next time you turn it on or it could be several years from now.
Those machines are designed to run 10,000 to 20,000 hours. However anything can fail at any time.

Re: Resmed Autoset II Usage Limit?
The machine is saying it was first used 2080 nights ago, and was used 2074 of those nights. That's great! Mine says 0745/0753. Both numbers go up each night you use it. If you skip a night, only the second number will increase.
The machine may be getting old since 2074 nights is over five years of use, but the number of nights used doesn't really tell you how much time the machine has left.
The Autoset II is an S8. The S8 series has 4 arrow buttons and a simple black and white display. The S9 series has a knob and a color display.

Re: Resmed Autoset II Usage Limit?
Thanks to all for the info. I will sleep better now not having to worry about buying a replacement. (Pun intended)
Now if I can just figure out how big of a small battery to get me through two 8 hour nights. I am still reading the million or so threads on it. I am hoping I just have a bad marine battery as it didn't last 2 hours without using the humidifier! It is a used battery that came out of my camper so I am not sure of it's condition. Just don't want to purchase a new one if that isn't going to work.
