Sleep with new pressure last night

Post by dhunter71 » Fri May 30, 2014 8:15 pm

Had my pressure raised yesterday to 13 after not having it raised since 2008 which was long overdue. I have Remstar auto cpap. Thought it was going to be a problem, but sleep great. I have rainout on this machine. Would like to know what's new updated cpap is on the market. Resmed 9 series
Seem to be the best for climate control or rainout any suggestions.

Thanks bighunt

I have the PRS1 APAP with the heated hose and humidifier. No rainout ever. No experience with Resmed.

I have the Resmed 9 Auto and love it! Never ever got rain out. Of course I do live in Arizona tho. I place machine on a small plastic stool at my bedside lower than my matress. I think that helps with rainout.

Also have a cozy hose cover from Karen at Pad A Cheek!

Hi,

Have you tried any of the normal tricks to help prevent rainout? Keeping the machine at a level that is below your head is important. A hose cover can help. Having a loop in the hose where it goes above your head is very helpful to keep water that does form in the hose from simply running down into your nose. You want it to run back into the machine. Finally, have you tried turning the humidity level down a bit?
