Been diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both hands and have just spent three nights with splints on, along with my CPAP on my nose and mouth. I tell you, it's been deuced difficult to sleep. Hubby and I have had a good laugh about it, but seriously, I've been wondering what's next. And I'm afraid to go there.

I know what you mean; I had shoulder surgery back in February so I had to sleep in a sling, started using top and bottom oral splints for my TMJD, and my FFM for OSA. At least they gave my drugs for my shoulder.

For carpel tunnel it might help you to get used to the wrist splints to start small by using the carpal tunnel compression type gloves.
I'm a long term sufferer who eventually had the surgery. Well after about 6 years it came back. I sleep with the splints that have the actual metal in them, very effective but can be hard to get used to. I use the compression gloves under my splints it I'm having more pain than usual. Another used for the compression style is computer use.
Now I need a finger-tunnel splint for use with my tablet. (just kidding!)

Thanks for all the advice and humor.
I used to hear old people say, "Old age ain't for sissies." And I'd chuckle to myself that they were just old and had no life.
But now it's my turn. "And oh, ’tis true, ’tis true." ( A. E. Houseman )
