See the post above from Offerocker. She sells the 6 foot ones. Just get 3 of them!

Hi there,

The connector is 18inch, not 18 feet.

Thanks though!

try REMOVING ALL the water from the humidifier and turning it off. The heated hose needs only to warm the air where it is not cold.

Make sure your power transformer is 12volt DC and it is working. If the incoming air temp is too warm, then you need a 9-Volt DC power supply.

Sorry I have chronic sinusitus so that is not an option. I have to have the humidifer running at about 70% at all times.

Thanks!

Socks! A couple wash cloths. Felt from a fabric store. I had some felt I used for another purpose and wrapped a layer around a short hose and taped it. It worked fine.

You don't need much so almost any piece of fairly thick fabric will work pretty well.

Are the snuggle covers on cpap.com and the hose covers advertised here the same thing?

Thanks!

Aussie heated hose

Post by lynn » Wed Jul 05, 2006 11:32 am

I've used my new Aussie Heated Hose for about a week now and love it! Had experienced rainout with my new Comfortlite2 nasal mask to the point of not being able to use it at all. (I don't have rainout problem with Swift...) Now no rainout with the C2 in spite of having heated humidification set to 3 or 4. Bedroom is kept cold with AC in summer (open window in winter).

Since the Aussie Heated Hose comes with a non-removable cloth cover, I made a larger diameter fleece hose cozy so that I could easily get it on and off for washing. It is easy to tell when it is plugged in as the warmth is obvious to the touch, even through the hose cozy. Don't forget to unplug it in the morning!

Nice that it is now supplied with North(South too?) American power supply.

Heated Hose

Post by northernlights » Wed Jul 05, 2006 12:45 pm

I've been using the F & P. with the Thermosmart humidifier built in, and so far I haven't had any kind of rainout. I actually upped the humidity setting last night because I've got a bit of a cold, and still no rainout, so I think they have a pretty good system. FYI.
