do you need more pressure with P10

Post by Bennnyp » Thu Apr 10, 2014 7:00 pm

I had a friend try the new p10. He said he really likes it, but it has a smaller hose and he doesn't feel like he gets as much air. He said he has to breath harder like the air isn't coming as much. The
nasal pillow before had a bigger hose.

My guess is he doesn't have the headgear or nasal pillow adjusted properly in that case. I switched from the Nuance pro to the p10 and find when first putting the pillows in place, they do feel like the occlude my nose too much. I adjust the head gear and give a little tug down on the pillows at the cheek straps. That adjusts the angle of the pillow just right. I know it is right because it feels as if nothing is even there when it's seated right.

If he's not using the large pillows he could try the next size up. I went from small to medium with the nuance pro, and then to large with the P10. The bigger holes made a difference in comfort for me.

I have the same problem. Large pillows at 8cm just feels like I need to work a bit harder to breathe than I would like. Not sure if the solution is to add pressure.
