Question about the innomed hybrid mask and air noise.

Post by caryrae73 » Thu Apr 10, 2014 3:41 pm

I just got the innomed hybrid mask today. I tried it out for a bit just laying in bed and it felt pretty good (see how it goes sleeping tonight). One thing I notice is the air coming out the vent just under nose can be kinda loud. Anybody have experience with this mask who may have tips to make it quieter? Maybe my pressure is to high or can you put some kind of cloth or filter of some kind to help cut down the noise? Doctor did up my pressure from 15 to 20 on the max end.

Do not cover the exhaust ports. Try to keep your arms and bedding away from the exhaust. That causes most of the noise.

When I tried it there was nothing even close to the vent. For the vent I figured something that air can move through like the filter on the back of the machine where the air gets sucked in from. I swear I remember seeing a mask with a filter on the vent, could be wrong. I may not even notice it much anyway I suppose when sleeping and our fan running.
