How can I improve?

Post by amybeth » Thu Apr 03, 2014 7:18 am

I have been trying to get my numbers to be better and am having no luck. Here are my results from the last 5 nights. Any suggestions? When I have my lower and upper pressures set too far apart, I end up waking up when it goes up and hitting ramp to bring it back down because I can't handle it.

Your minimum pressure is not quite sufficient to do an optimal job of preventing the events and the machine can't respond quickly enough.
An increase in the minimum pressure ...probably 1.0 cm..maybe 2...would most likely do a better job.

If you need to acclimate to the higher pressures in order to sleep with them, you might consider keeping last night's narrow range and walk it up a little at a time as you acclimate to each higher pressure. Your current 7 / 10 can become 8 / 11. If that doesn't do the trick after a week or two then move up to 9 / 12, etc. until you get to where you want your numbers to be.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely going to switch to 8/11 and see how it goes for a few nights.
