I'm back, with a new Machine

Post by snorin747 » Sat Mar 22, 2014 7:58 am

I went to the VA to get new hoses, etc. They gave me a whole new machine, a ResMed S9 with a H5i. The mask is a Swift FX nasal pillow. The setup is a lot quieter then my old machine, which for me is disappointing. I like the air noise, it helped me sleep.

I'm on my 2nd day. My struggles are keeping the mask on. I'm a side sleeper and I'm waking up when the mask gets pulled aside. Today, I got out of bed and went to sleep on the couch.

I'm tired so off to bed I go.

If your old mask was working, why not stick with it?

The OSA patient died quietly in his sleep.
Unlike his passengers who died screaming as the car went over the cliff...

Did your new machine from the VA include the water container that can be taken apart or the standard one. The new ResMed S9's are very quiet.

It needed to be replaced. I didn't look at the new one to compare it to the old one. All nose pillows are the same... right?

It can be taken apart. Yes they are very quiet.

I was able to stay on the machine for almost 5 hours. I did take my head gear off, but stayed in bed for another couple of hours.

Did you want to try a SWIFT LT MASK? If so I have one still in the package, never opened, brand new. Send me a PM if you are interested, we can work something out.
