Need new CPAP

Post by sigsour » Thu Jun 29, 2006 7:30 pm

Hey all,
I have had Remstar Plus LX for almost 7 years and it is finally giving me problems. I now have a choice of any of the CPAP's out there. I have no idea which one to decide on. Any input or direct me to where I could get some sound advice would be appreciated.....

Many here will suggest the Remstar Auto, or the Remstar Pro 2 for a straight CPAP. If you want to be a guinea pig you can always go for the new M series of Remstars. I am sure you will also hear from the Resmed crowd as well as the F&P people. I believe that they are all probable good machines. If I had my choice it would be the current Remstar Auto.

I am new to cpap and have ResMed S8 auto on hire
Just wondering why you like the Remstar Auto as I will have to decide which one to buy in about 3 weeks
Because I have only had the S8 thats all I know about
Thanks Jacko

another vote for the remstar auto, the main reasons why i like it are that it's quiet, and also that i can use the c-flex in auto mode.

Sigsour,

Most of us on the forum agree that the Auto (apap) is the best way to go because it can also be used as a straight cpap if you so choose.

Here is the link to a big discussion this forum recently had. You might want to read it, and pick a side:
