should I upgrade to Resmed s9 from s8?

my DME messed up and never gave resmed the po number to fix my s8 elite II. They are willing to repair at no cost OR upgrade to an s9 at no cost. Thoughts?, Pros? Cons?
I appreciate any input. What people think of the s9 compared to the s8.

I can't comment on the S8, never owned one. The S9 seems to be a cadillac in my book, have an Elite as backup & a Autoset that I just recently purchased. I can find no fault in either machine, quite, simple to use, heater tub easy to get to...just my opinion.
There may be more chime in later. But to answer your question, they are offering a free upgrade from the S8 to the S9...believe I would take the S9...
If you are on straight CPAP then the S9 ELITE should be a good one, the S9 AUTOSET is a good APAP machine...

Grab the S9 Elite or Autoset.....Don't think twice about it.

Actually twink go with the S9 AutoSet, it can do both CPAP & APAP. The Elite can only provide a single pressure that the sleep center provides, the Auto has a low & hi psi range to accommodate how u are sleeping, the way I under stand it. The Auto S9 also has capability to go straight CPAP as the ELITE, soooo it makes sense to me the S9 is actually 2 machines in one.

Just a hint: In order to get the doc to OK the Autoset, just indicate to the doctor
that you feel like you might be ready to lose weight (if appropriate)
Pressure changes tend to be needed after weight changes.
Remind him you can't afford another sleep study!
Jump on the offer before they change their minds!

Thanks everyone, they are only offering the Elite. I am taking it anyway. My machine (s8) would be $175 to fix. I am going to take it to another DME and get it fixed to keep as a back up since I own it!! I figure I am getting a good deal either way!. The DME knew I already talked to the attorney generals office about filing a complaint. They are doing just about anything to make me happy. I can ask about the auto set, but he did say Elite, so I don't think they will give me the other. I so appreciate all the feedback. They gave me my un-repaired s8 back 3 weeks ago. I have been complaining ever since I got it back and finally called Res Med to find out it was never repaired. I have been dragging since it was returned. They are also re-funding my 48.54 I paid out of pocket for shipping the un-repaired s8 back. The squeaky wheel gets the grease! I told them they were dealing with a VERY UNHAPPY customer. The president of the DME approved the s9 elite. They said it was the least they could do. They are just lucky I didn't throw a clot with the A fib from my apnea! I have in the past.
