Airway Full Scan
Has anyone done a full scan to the upper airway? not talking about the camera they use to look inside your nose. A full scan septum and all. Can the scan reveal how bad someone's airways are as oppose to the titration.

It might be hard to see a apnea event in a mri. You might see a something that might cause a apnea, but physical proof of what and where may be hard to come by. Jim

Re: Airway Full Scan
Although the cost would be a deterrent, I sure would be interesting to see what commonalities showed up in scans of people with OSA. A few years ago some forum members who were considering having MMA surgery posted their x-rays of their throat/neck. Those visuals made it easier to understand why some continue to have trouble, even on CPAP. I just don't know otherwise how much a wake scan can predict a sleep issue or outcomes, but it would be interesting. I doubt scans are done except maybe on those considering a surgical option.

Plus only a very special 'mobility' type of scan that measures how and when and how much one person's airway closes when asleep, rather than simply measuring the airway diameter, would possibly help, and I don't know if such a thing exists (tho' similar ones do for other parts of the body).

I would like to see how my insides actually look. possibly get an idea of how narrow things are or even the structure of my palate and beyond, and then maybe compare it to a person whose not on therapy.
Re: Airway Full Scan
The only time I saw something similar to what you're looking for was while researching double jaw surgeries on youtube. One of the vids had 3d scans of pre and post surgery of the upper airway. They had some measurements too; iirc it was around 11mm pre and 20mm post surgery for one patients airways. They were focusing more on jaw alignment and correct bite than creating airway space for the video I saw; but the airway enlargement was significant.
