Download data for PR BiPap AutoSV Advanced System One

Post by jddg » Thu Feb 20, 2014 9:42 am

Can anyone tell me which software I should download to get data from my SD card? I have a new Philips Respironics BiPAP autoSV Advanced System One machine.

Which model? 950 or 960?
Model number is on the bottom of the blower unit. Might have DS or REF in front of it.

Also...what operating system is on your computer? Which Windows version?

The model 960 is going to require Encore Pro 2.12 and while it installs on Windows 8.0...from what I have heard it doesn't play nice with Windows 8.1.
Pro also is bit specific..meaning 32 or 64 bit are separate downloads.

Encore Basic offers the exact same reports as Pro but without some headaches...it works great with the 950 model but won't install on Windows 8 at all.. There is a way to make it work though.

There is no Mac version of Encore...strictly Windows. So if using a Mac then some sort of Windows environment needs to be setup.

If model 950 it may or may not work well with SleepyHead. Some people have had great success with SleepyHead and the 950 and some haven't. So it's iffy.

THANK YOU for all of that great information.

I have a model number REF 950. However, my Windows operating system on my laptop is Windows 7 Enterprise (not sure exactly what that means but I just restarted my computer to see what it said). So it looks like Encore Basic will not work for me since I do not have Windows 8.

Do you think SleepyHead will work with the 950 and Windows 7? I did a little research and read online about http://www.sleepmapper.com. Have you heard of this?

Windows 7 should work with Encore Basic. Pugsy is the expert on compatibility though.
I have a 960 system which requires Encore Pro and it runs well on my Window 7 system.

Sleepmapper is pretty lame. Not worth the effort IMHO
All it offers is the same stuff on the machine's LCD screen. Overall AHI, hours of use and did you have any really big leaks last night (% of time in large leak).

Encore Basic will work with your machine and should work with your computer.
Let's start with it first as it is the simplest to manage.
I will send some information on where to find it to you in just a bit.

Encore Basic won't install on Windows 8 (but will run)..it will install on Windows 7.
I know how to make it work on any Windows that it might not want to install on...the problem is the installer in the software. Bypass the installer and it works fine.
If for some reason you can't install it...I know how to make it work. Just let me know

The 950 model opens up a few options.
SleepyHead may work well for you...may not work at all..and if it works sometimes some of the data gets whacky.
Hurts nothing to try and if the data is whacky...it's really obvious.

Check your PM box.

I have the 950P model and was able to get it to work with Sleepyhead. The data does get whacky, but only when not using any of the ASV features, at least in my experience. For example:

Straight CPAP pressures (EPAPmin = EPAPmax, PS min = 0 and PS max = 0, which automatically turns BPM off)

or

Bilevel pressures (EPAP min = EPAPmax, PS min = PS max, BPM = off)

But the data looks fine again if using Bilevel pressures with a back-up rate (like a BiPAP ST). So it may be that turning the BPM off is what confuses Sleepyhead. Your data will be read fine by Encore even if Sleepyhead isn't displaying it correctly. If you can get Sleepyhead to work, it's great and very user-friendly. I'd definitely recommend it!
