Copy/paste CMS50D+ data
I want to move some CMS50D+ data from one computer to another, by copying to a thumbdrive. I've done it before, but today it seems the c:ProgramFiles>SpO2>Data folder is "Intentionally blank". I've done it before, but today it has me baffled!!
When traveling, I download my pulse/ox daily to my laptop, which doesn't have the capability for Sleepyhead, then want to get everything on my home desktop machine. It looks like a Windows glitch, as when you bring up the data in SpO2 Review, it shows a Lock icon, and I'm not sure I should be messing with Ownership changes to the files!!
Any help?? Thanks
Kelvin

Re: Copy/paste CMS50D+ data
press compatability files in the empty folder and it will show the files. note the new path to the files in the address bar when they show up.

Re: Copy/paste CMS50D+ data
I have the file address correct. I think it's a Windows file access setting. When choosing an old data file to view, in Sleepyhead, Windows displays a LOCKED icon indicating I dont' have the correct permissions to access the file. Until I know a bit more, I'm not willing to mess with those settings, as it appears it may make a a more global change than just the Data Files for SpO2.
To get picky about use of words.... I trust "Empty folder" means the blank screen that comes up with SpO2 Review opens and the "compatibility files" is "choose files" which displays any *.spor files you have on the given machine. Otherwise haven't found the place to select compatibility files!!
thanks again all!!!
...2 hours later.... I took the hard drive out of the laptop and connected it to my desktop as an external drive. STILL no access to the files in the laptop!! ARGH!! SpO2 won't let me even designate a different drive than the default C: location.. GGggrrrr...!!!!

Re: Copy/paste CMS50D+ data
If the SpO2 data folder is empty, what happened to the older data? Do you have it stored somewhere else?
Have you tried downloading and re-installng the SpO2 Review software? Then copying the session data files into the Data folder.
It sounds as if you installed something while in admin mode and are now accessing in non-admin mode of a different user.
Any chance the session files are in read-only mode during the copy? That will cause problems also.

Re: Copy/paste CMS50D+ data
Well, eventually I found a back door method! SpO2 Review lets you move a file to another location on the hard drive, from the Choose Files screen. I moved it to My Documents and from there could put it on a thumb drive and moved it to My Documents on the other machine. Not the best but workable!! JDS74, you might be right, but I put the software on both machines at the same time and I'm the only User Profile and Admin on both. When the Choose File screen comes up it has all the archives, but they don't show if you look for them in Window Explorer(My Computer). All the files also show when you want them for SH. It just doesn't make sense!!! BUT, I'm back on track!!
I've questioned why I'm not getting good rest so that prompted getting back to my pulse ox. I'm dipping into the 75% Ox level for 15 min every 2 hours. My reason to transfer data was prompted when I went on a 3 day trip and FORGOT my CPAP cord!!! I was staying at 9000 ft. elevation and was showing 75-90% the first night. Felt horrible in the a.m.!! The next night a fellow traveler in my group loaned me her O2 bottle which lasted 4 hours, and was a great help, but then back into the upper 80's!! As soon as I can I'll get the DME to let me use their pulse/ox before I accost my Doc to see what I need to be doing!!! I might be moving to more that xPAP therapy but I need to do something!!!!!!
Thanks all!!!

If the files show in SpO2 Viewer but not in Windows Explorer, the problem is that the hidden attribute has been attached to them. This prevents Windows Explorer from displaying them but they are there and still accessible.
In Windows Explorer ( at least for Windows XP ) click on the Data folder and then on Properties and see if the hidden attribute is set. If it is, then uncheck it , click on Apply, and your're good to go.

Re: Copy/paste CMS50D+ data
Hello,
Well, the files are not stored there as you noted - there is a file that says this folder is intentionally empty. On my windows 7 machine the data is actually stored under my user folders - C:\Users\uidb5280\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\SpO2\Data - for me my user name is uidb5280 (work computer) take a look in your users folder and I am sure you will see them. (the xxx.spo2 and the xxx.csv)
