Another noob starting

Post by _CJ_ » Sun Feb 09, 2014 5:36 am

Hey all, just had my 3rd night, just starting this and not sure when / if I should look into a diff mask?

Love how the Quattro feels, does seem to move on me no matter how snug I make it.

1rst night nothing but fighting with the eye leaks ( especially when I try to hit my side ), trying to adjust and then the face farts started. Not cool!

Night 2, I did the cut old t-shirt to fix leaks, plus used skinny headband around head / middle of mask and leaks gone. Probally one of the best nights sleep I've had in years.

Lastnight sinus crap and just couldnt sleep.

I am a side sleeper for most part. Would eventually like to look into one of the pillow masks, but I fight sinus problems from deviated septum so not sure if that will work.

They said I have 30 days to try diff masks. I do like the mask but thinking about all the extras I have to add to fix it and it does seem to move around.

Suggestions? And thk you...

Use your 30 days wisely.
Don't spend an inordinate amount of time with one mask if it is problematic. Yes I know it takes time to fine tune them but fine tune when you can experiment on their dime.
Nothing stops you from going back to a prior mask if you end up thinking it is worth more work or putting money into accessories.

Don't spend 3 weeks on a mask only to decide it just won't work..then you only have a week left to try other masks.

You do not need a lot of extras. You just need 1 good mask liner. Check padacheek.com for Quattro mask liners and/or anti leak straps.

Thx for the responses!

Was messing with it this morning and just went over to CPAP and printed a sizing chart. They gave me a Large and going by the sizing chart on the site I am closer to a med.

Think I'll go out tomorrow and have them dbl check size, if med fits I'll try that for a few days and if not will try something else.

Thx again
