Remstar Pro2 Card
Remstar Pro2 Card
I had something very strange happen to me today. Let me start off by saying that my relationship with my sleep doctor is on rocky ground. My last visit, he was not pleased with my usage of my machine. The therapy wasn't working, and I started using it less and less everynight. Well, I went to my follow up appointment today. He was very pleased with my results, but asked why the card was only showing about a weeks worth of info. He then viewed the last two months. To my shock, there was a period from about the 15th of May to the second week of June that had no info at all. It looked like I hadn't been using it at all, when in fact, I had. As I said before, he was pleased with my progress, but it didn't do anything for my credibility with him, i'm sure. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I'm assuming that you aren't reading the card yourself. If you are, there are lots of possible answers.
If you aren't, then the card likely wasn't seated it the slot or was in backwards/upside down. If you don't have the card in, the machine will continue to operate happily without warning. I believe that there is some indication on the LCD when the card is in, but you probably need a microscope to see it. I have the BiPAP auto and it beeps when the card is properly inserted, I'm not sure about your machine.

I don't have a reader, but the strange thing is, I never remove the card. It worked up to that point, and worked past that point. My area has had some power outages lately though. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?
Also, Does anyone have problems sleeping, even with the CPAP? My apnea's are non-existent, but I still don't feel great. Does anyone in the forum have stress, and does it keep you up?

If you're looking for the nightly "details" and you haven't been downloading the card about every 6 days (or less), the data will be overwritten and won't appear on the report. There should still be the number of days used in the "summary" statistics, but the nightly details will be gone. If the card wasn't properly seated, it would have been beeping. If the card was out of the machine, it will not record and will not notify you that the card isn't in there.
