Data card information please.

Post by aben » Fri Jan 24, 2014 1:57 pm

PRS1 Bipap Auto Biflex 750, Win 7 64, Tap Pap, SH and Encore Basic.
My machine display message says "data card full". I have used this machine and the original new card for about 20 months and I download the data nearly everyday to both SH and Encore.
1--Do I need to format or initialize a new card to use it ? (I have a new 4 Gig card).
2--Can I format the old card and use it again ?
3-- Will I loose any essential information if I format the old card and re-use it ? (I may want to take it to my RT if I do not format it).
4--How is the best way to proceed from here so that I can use it tonight ?
Thanks.

I would just buy a new card at staples and save the old one in a safe place for archive.

In the absence of physically having a brand new SD Card (which is what I would do...just use a new card and put the old SD Card in safe place) there is a way to keep the contents of the SD card on the computer...just copy the entire P Series Folder to a folder on the desktop...then if needed it an be put on a new SD Card...and erase the SD card you are using..
This could be done until a new card could be obtained.
