Does my machine...?

Post by charpentierlady » Wed Jan 22, 2014 9:37 pm

Does my machine show AHI? I just got it today after 2 months of waiting. Medicaid was being a butt and not wanting to authorize because of this not being right, or because they couldn't read that or something else minor. Well the DME finally got the authorization yesterday and were waiting on the paper to be faxed to them. They got it today and I got my machine.
Diagnosed 10-10-13
8.5 apneas
Oxygen 86%

Yes the S9 Autoset will show you your AHI and what comprised the AHI (obstructive apnea, hypopnea, "clear airway").

Here's a link to a good video tutorial on navigating your machine's menus: http://www.cpaplibrary.com/machines.html

Thank you! That was really helpful. I paused it to go look at my machine, then would come back and play...lol. Thank you again!

You have a great machine, and you can use both ResScan and Sleepyhead. I recommend downloading both and then see what you like best. Most people like sleepyhhead more, though I prefer ResScan. Both with let you see your ahi, events during the night, how long they lasted, what your pressure did, your mask leak, etc. It is really good.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Except if you have a Mac -- then you can't use ResScan but you can use SleepyHead.
