So I just got my phone call stating that I had severe S.A. Not sure what constitutes severe but this is what I was told. I have done 15 yrs of Active Duty Army with 3 deployments under my belt. My machine should be here, HOPEFULLY, within the week. The way I am gathering is I am just going to have to get used to wearing the mask, is this correct? I just want some sleep and some energy the next day....
Not real sure on which machine that I will be getting. Does each machine come with it's own humidifier or is that something that I would have to purchase myself?
Once I get everything in, I will post back on what all I get through the VA.

My machine the humidifier was separate. My insurance covered the cost of the humidifier.allenw88 wrote:So I just got my phone call stating that I had severe S.A. You will want to make sure that you get a machine that gives you all your sleep data.
Here is a list of data capable machines: http://maskarrayed.wordpress.com It is dated from 2011 but should be a guide for you.
I wish you good luck.

The VA at least here in San Antonio gives you a S9 Resmed Autoset with a humidifier and the climate control hose. I didn't have to pay anything. You can receive 1 mask every 6 months. Recently they have started ordering masks that they don't normally carry. If your pressure is over 15/16 they will only let you have a full face mask.

It's nice to have a recent VA appointed one. That way I can look into what you got and maybe get the idea of what is coming my way. I'm anxious to get started on this....Nervous tooBobby269 wrote:The VA at least here in San Antonio gives you a S9 Resmed Autoset with a humidifier and the climate control hose.
