Guidelines for replacing a 2009 machine

Post by socks349 » Tue Jan 14, 2014 7:14 pm

I remember in 2009 wondering how it would work out with CPAP, would I be able to sleep, getting a mask to fit, etc. A few years on I just pull on my mask and fall asleep in seconds, no ramp, it's a way of life. My Remstar Pro 2 has performed faithfully and I have many good nights of sleep thanks to this machine (and it still sounds OK), but I'm guessing that at some point it will need to be replaced. Any info on guidelines as to when insurance companies will replace?

Guidelines or requirements are likely to vary between insurance companies and plans...so best find out directly from them.

Used to be that 5 years would get you a new machine without much hassle but with everyone tightening things up a lot.....a lot of insurance seems to be going with "only if broken and fixing it costs more than a new one"....
