air intake into belly?

Post by neallo » Tue Jan 14, 2014 5:52 am

Well I have slept two or three nights without being woken up by leaks. I have been on cpap for three weeks and these are the best nights yet, leak wise. Last night I actually woke up with dry mouth, but I almost freaked out, in a good way, because I hadn't moved since sleep On-Set about two hrs earlier. I found enough saliva to moisten mouth and went back to sleep.

My NEW problem arose when the major leaks were fixed. Sunday early afternoon, about 12:30 my upper guy started hurting and it lasted till I went to bed that night. Yesterday, late morning about 9:30, the same problem arose. This morning I woke up with it. Terrible discomfort More than pain, and no it doesn't bother sleep. I actually feel better when I lay down. Am I swollen air, into my belly? Any ideas as to how to fix this? Should I call my doctor? I don't want to go back to the leaks, because I have finally fixed them (for now). I'd this grim to high of pressure? Or when I lowered my upper pressure from 20 to 17.5 did I mess something up in my breathing? The pressure change was a couple of nights before leak problem taken care of. I lowered my pressure in a hope to fix leaks.

Yup, have this problem as well when my mask is fit too tight (eliminating the natural leak). I've gotten used to it, I wake up and for the next 30 minutes or so its gas city. Kind of funny sometimes but I digress

Nothing to worry about, really. I guess you can take some Gas-X or something similar if need be.

Thanks for the speedy reply. My girlfriend told me to stop tossing and turning Saturday night, which I yelled( over the machine) I can't get comfortable. She took it personal and got defensive and told me not to yell at her. Well I tightened my mask a little and went to sleep, finally. Well for the first time in as far back as I can remember I slept 10.4 hrs. Didn't wake up fully rested because I have a lot to repair or catch up on. Well when I tightened the mask I apparently eliminated the leaks. I do feel a pillow under my ffm, which is small, but with facial hair leaks seem to smaller. I haven't looked at the sleepy head data for the past two nights, and I am extremely interested in looking at this because I don't know what was happening while I was asleep.

Thought I might throw in a funny story from a week Ago.
I was apparently sound sleep and in rem stage. Well I was dreaming that I was out shopping with my girlfriend and everything I was liking at was farting. I would go to pick it up and pfffft. I would quickly run from it. The next item something. This went on for I don't know how long, but finally woke up and the whole time it was my mask farting.

SIDE NOTE. Early last week I started back to work, and some how my alarm got turned off ( a mistake I made with my smart phone). Well to down this up. I woke up thinking is was almost time to get up, but it was only three. So I went back to sleep. In whatever state I was in I was thinking (in my sleep, sound sleep,I think) hey it's been More than two hrs, get up and look. Took me a few minutes but I wrestled myself awake and it was longer than two hrs it was more like three which means I was late to work. Ever happen to anyone?
