it's monday and i went to see my doctor this morning. here's what he told after reading the memory stick in my cpap machine. he said i was doing very well. i was averaging 6 1/2 hours of sleep each night and i was in compliance since i've used the machine every night since i got it on january 3rd. he reaffirmed that he was happy with my results after such a short time with the cpap.
his words really made me feel good. i needed his reassurance that things were going as he wanted them to go. i had a list of questions for him and we addressed each question thoroughly and i was happy about that. i also brought up the fact that the nasal pillows were fine but i thought i would like to try a nose mask. he had several models for me to try on and the one he and i both agreed was the best was the Fisher & Paykel Eson™ Nasal Mask. has anyone here tried it or is using it. he said he would forward the prescription to apria. it really good that i brought my machine into him because he told me they gave me the wrong tubing for my machine. i guess he noticed that right away since he used the same machine that i use. he was going to follow-up with apria and make sure they got me the tubing that is made for my machine. so, i really felt good about his evaluation. i told him about this website forum and how helpful and supportive everyone has been for me. he was happy that i found the forum. i know i am, for sure!
cheers
