So glad you are feeling better!

I wonder if you caught the flu bug? Many people seem to be getting the flu where I live and it's not fun. I'm glad I got the shot, altho people who did get the shot seem to be getting the flu... only a milder form of it.

I didn't seem to have typical initial symptoms beyond some fever and hacking up both lungs for a couple of days.
Doc elected to treat as bacterial infection instead of just "flu".
He was thinking mycoplasma and once the antibiotics got started then I also started seeing improvement.

Whatever bug it was....it was ugly. Maybe just a combination of factors made it worse.
I know that my old nemesis "vertigo" from the rocks in my head....got woke up and sure didn't help matters.
I don't think it was solely "the flu" though. Neither was it my usual "rocks in the head" thing either.

I have no idea what bug I picked up but it sure kicked my ass. I even allowed hubby to take me to the ER to get help. So that should tell you just how sick I was.....I only go to the hospital or ER in dire circumstances.

The S9 Adapt experiment has been on hold. It was all I could do to mask up every night. Give me a few more nights before I start experimenting again.
I still just don't feel like doing much more than basic thinking. I haven't even bothered looking at my SD card since before Christmas.

Thank you everyone......I was just so sick that the last thing I wanted to do was turn on the computer.
I should have instructed Hubby to make a post to alleviate concerns but by the time my mind was thinking along those lines Trevor had called to make sure I was still alive...so he did it for me.
Hang in there Pugsy & don't worry about anything, just get well

So glad that you are back on deck (well heading that way hopefully) again Pugsy. Hope your health continues to improve and you don't have a relapse - so go along quietly and we will all understand if you don't get to post as much meantime.

Ditto! You were missed and we're glad you are feeling better. And keep up the progress toward feeling normal. So, don't overdo it.

Good to hear that you are back on your feet!
Glad you got antibiotics and it seems to be working, do not stop too early with antibiotics. The slightest symptom you have left so ask for another dose.

Yes Pugsy, you have been missed.

But don't come back until you are really up to it.
It is hard, but we will suffer through it until YOU are up to 100%.

And don't worry, we won't forget you!

I'm not going to tell you the last year I had the flu cuz you won't believe me, but it was a loooong time ago. No, I don't get flu shots. The main advice that has proven beneficial to me over these many years is to KEEP YOUR DAMN INFECTED FINGERS OUT OF YOUR NOSE AND EYES. PERIOD!!!
That's the basic route of transmission for the flu virus, not thru your mouth (stomach acid generally kills any virus dead).

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

You're right of course... but why take the chance that you may forget and touch your nose or your eyes? It sounds like Pugsy was very sick... and if it was the flu or even a little of the flu - I don't want it! When I'm grocery shopping I do wipe down the handle with what they provide, but that's not enough. If I touch the same bottle of distilled water as someone with the flu bug, good chance I have the flu. At least if I do catch it, it will be a much milder version.

IMHO, seniors should absolutely get a flu shot!
