Hi everyone!

Post by Cr1kk1t » Sat Jan 04, 2014 9:51 am

Sorry it has been so long since I have been on and posted.

Back in May my son smashed my laptop (it was very ugly and stressful time for me). I finally got a new one in October but was so busy packing didn't have to time to hop on here.

I took a job on the opposite side of the state and moved mid October from Grand Junction, CO to Sterling, CO. It took awhile to figure out which box had my cpap machine in it(forgot to tell help not to pack it, lol). Since then I have not been very compliant in using my cpap. When I do use it, I am taking it off in my sleep usually after a couple of hours. Not sure why I am doing this as I used to never do this before. I finally installed the sleepyhead software yesterday and will be going through it to see if there is anything that might help me figure this out. I broke my pulse ox so will be ordering a new one that hopefully will be compatible with the sleepyhead software. My new doctor here in Sterling wants to see the reports from sleepyhead so I am optimistic he might just be knowledgeable with cpap treatment.

Anyways.... I just mostly wanted to say HI and give you all an update.

Cindy

Welcome back Cindy .

I had a 5 or 6 month period where I was away in 2012 because of severe family health issues. I came back around the forum very slowly, felt almost apprehensive to post anything like everyone would be judging me or even be unkind. Don't know where that was coming from as I had never had anything but help, acceptance, and friendship here; it was all coming from me not from here .

Unlike me during my absence, I can see you are a strong and courageous person and have come back to the forum much more openly. You will certainly find the help, acceptance, and friendship that so prevails this little hose head world! Please continue to post about your struggle with PAP therapy compliance and any other sleep/health issues that may be contributing factors... this wonderful place will be here for you just like it has been for me and so many others. It is what truly makes this place so special; what it is all about .

John

Welcome back to using your CPAP and for coming back to cpaptalk!! Hopefully you'll see things in a few days that will enlighten you even before you share it with the Doc, that will help track back in.

On a personal level, who did you see in GJ for sleep doc? I'm in Rangely and am gently searching for someone to consult with, since the GP docs here are CLUELESS!!! They didn't even know the patient could access and look at their own data!!

Good luck!

Welcome back, Cindy. Laptops are like premmie babies. You have to give them life support, can't drop them, can't get them too cold or too wet, can't have faulty power support and certainly you have to keep your teenage sons away from them! I hate it when laptops go down but they do keep my lap warm in the winter Think of all the money I save on cat food and vet bills.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I was low-income and went through the marillac clinic at the time. I didn't have a sleep doc. The doc at the clinic just did what I asked her to. lol
