Since I originally asked the question...DME_Guy...thank you for the info. It seems many of our requirements are driven by Medicare, etc.
Thank you sir.....I guess I will go get my 4 hours...good night.
Sleeping 4 hours makes us compliant?
I am exactly the same. For the past 15 years I've always got away with 6 hours sleep, now on CPAP I'm finding my average around 6.8 hours sleep. If I go to bed early, I just wake up after 6 hours and toss and turn to the point where I have to get up. I've heard others on CPAP have slept for days or 9 or 10 hours at least, I'd love to do this, the only way I'll get that amount of sleep is to take a nap in the day time (which now is even more difficult now that I'm on CPAP as I can't just dose off like I used to pre-CPAP).tooly125 wrote:I am trying to go to bed earlier but have run in to a problem it seems no matter what time I go to bed I wake up six hours later.
Hopefully I can break this cycle and get up to at least seven hours a nite.

I know that when I was untreated (only 2 fullmonths in treatment now) I would sleep up to 9 -10 hrs. and still feel tired. Once on Cpap, even after only a few hours on the mask and a few without each night, I could already feel the difference!
I am now sleeping all night without getting claustrophobic and taking it off in my sleep...wake up with the mask on and feel GREAT after - wait for it - 7 or 8 hours. So I intertpret that as what my body needs now that it's getting normal sleep again.
So some folks will feel great and maybe not need the sleep hours they used to....
