You left out Obama. About 100% voted for him each time because of the thrills up their legs.

Did FOX news tell you this or was there someone else standing in the voting booth with these people? Please cite your interesting source of 'facts'. Jesus Christ I have never read such rubbish nonsense in my life from people.Cereal Killer wrote:hyperlexis wrote:Christine L wrote:hyperlexis wrote:So before you start misusing studies or numbers to continue to pound away at a personal political message
Like I said above, this study was presented as truth on CBS Evening News where all the producers, reporters and anchors are Democrats.
This is a joke right? Did you interview all the staff at CBS?
Do you know how to read or interpret what a study means, or its applicability outside the context of what is studying? Apparently no.
In 1964, 94% of media professionals voted for Democrat Lyndon Johnson over Republican Barry Goldwater.
In 1968, 86% voted for Democrat Hubert Humphrey over Republican Richard Nixon.
In 1972, 81% voted for Democrat George McGovern over the incumbent Nixon.
In 1976, 81% voted for Democrat Jimmy Carter over Republican Gerald Ford.
In 1980, twice as many cast their ballots for Carter rather than for Republican Ronald Reagan.
In 1984, 58% supported Democrat Walter Mondale, whom Reagan defeated in the biggest landslide in presidential election history.
In 1988, White House correspondents from various major newspapers, television networks, magazines, and news services supported Democrat Michael Dukakis over Republican George H.W. Bush by a ratio of 12-to-1.
In 1992, those same correspondents supported Democrat Bill Clinton over the incumbent Bush by a ratio of 9 to 2.
Shouldn't we be more concerned with the War on Christmas or the black Santa? I've heard from FOX that they're terrible problems.

Yes, the economic science was already there but liberals like to work off feelings from the heart and ignore science. They did when they wrote Obamacare. Thrill up the leg.Nozzelnut wrote:CBS also said that study was from 2008; before obamacare went into effect.

Actually Choker, we have won. Dinosaurs like you are a dying breed, shrinking year, by year by year. The Whigs or the Confederates of the 21st Century, relegated to enclaves in the rural southeast. Slowly watching your ideas and your influence being eclipsed by your children, and the growing population of urban minorities expanding and expanding, and all the while rejecting the tired, exclusioninst ideology you still cling to.
And that is what fuels your sad, repetitive flailings about regarding healthcare.
Did you hear that women and Negroes can vote now, too? That must keep you up at night for sure.

I would like to know myself because that is all Choker ever talks about. I can't remember him starting an an topic post. I did recall one contribution to a thread but that is it.And that is what fuels your sad, repetitive flailings about regarding healthcare.
What is interesting is he never proposed an alternative or expressed concern about people not having health insurance. Then again, people like him think that the uninsured can get free care at the ER including necessary surgery.

Great, we'll go back to the days of people being excluded due to preexisting conditions with unaffordable costs. Or if they get insurance, they'll fear using it out of fear they will be cancelled. Yeah, that will work.Wulfman... wrote:I'm looking at the "positive side" of this. There will probably be alot of politicians getting voted out of office this Fall. Democrats are very scared and there are quite a few Republicans I'd like to see get the boot (maybe not for this issue, but for others).

Slavery was a big part of the platform in establishing the Democratic party and that the Republicans voted 100 percent for the passage of the 13th amendment and the vast majority of the Democrats voted against it.hyperlexis wrote:Did you hear that women and Negroes can vote now, too? Regarding women's suffrage (19th Amendment), there were more Republicans voting for it and more Democrats voting against it.
Your lack of knowledge of American history is disappointing but typical of liberals and progressives.

Moochers. All of them.
It would be a lot cheaper for all of society, if we passed a law that put a cut-off date on people's lives. Kind of like a minimum wage but in reverse. Like, once you get over 70 or 75 years old, you have one chance only. If you get sick, that's it, you're done. Into the furnace for you.

Re: Obamacare - Wrong on Every Count
My Dad was a physician, and he (as well as his colleagues) was always afraid of socialized medicine coming to our fine Country.
Among the several worries were that government know-nothings would tell physicians how to run their practices; and, that the volume of patients per physician would increase beyond the level of adequate diagnosis and treatment; and as is always the case in socialized anything, shortages of everything would rapidly become a chronic problem.
I happened to catch on the news today that roughly 2 million folks had signed up for ACA; this while over 6 million folks have recently lost their private coverage. While disturbing, I worry that (eventually) these logistical issues are nothing compared to the that under the ACA all of us, and our families will have sparing access to medical care, and the care will inferior to what we have now, and hospital services, pharmaceuticals, and medical appliances will be in short supply.
BTW, I have no ill words for those who do not agree, and I hope you yield me this bit of space for my opinion without the flamethrower treatment. I will admit that the sales pitch part of Obamacare was the one success, it was community organizing at its highest level.

With all due respect, insurance companies have been dictating care for years and have limited access depending on the plan you had. As I am sure you are well aware, having a physician for a father, many doctor's offices had to hire several staff members just to deal with insurance companies. I don't think this is a problem in countries like Canada that have single payer system.
Regarding 6 million people losing their coverage, where did you get that statistic? And we also don't know how many of those folks who lost coverage lost it due to a policy that hardly paid anything like the one my temp company used to offer? You think having something like a policy in which it had something like a $5000 lifetime limit was good business for something like hospital coverage? I kid you not.
And what about people who would love to start businesses which would be helpful to the economy by the way who are dissuaded because they fear they wouldn't be able to get health insurance. As I asked Den, do we really want to go back to the days of excluding people from having it?
