I have been on CPAP for about two weeks now and I am beginning to notice some subtle changes.
I am not getting tired till around 4:30 p.m. now instead of between 2 and 3 and the lunchtime nap has been replaced by a walk.
Last night I actually enjoyed cooking dinner for the first time in as long as I can remember. I had gotten to the point I couldn't even decide what to cook for dinner and really couldn't be bothered. I can't see how CPAP would do this.. but dinner tasted really good and I got full faster. HUH?
This morning was the very first time I have woken up actually feeling refreshed and like I slept, despite getting up three times during the night. I can't wait for that elusive sleeping the whole night without waking till morning thing.
My sinuses are swollen, particularly on one side, work nurse thinks it's the mask irritating my face. I did order a Padacheek for my Quattro Air and it is on it's way. I am going to fiddle a bit more with putting it on to see if I can have it a little looser but still sealed.
My chest wall was hurting quite a lot, perhaps my body is adjusting but it is definitely a ton better today.
As soon as I put the mask on at night I get sleepy but it is tough to get comfortable. Hoping to get the money together for a contour pillow soon.
I am considering the gel pads for my nose/top of cheeks where the mask hurts, but let's see how the padacheek goes first.
At least along with some discomfort I am also seeing progress.. and I feel SO much better.

Congratulations! And I say that with some envy of how quickly you're noticing a positive difference!Jaywolf wrote:I have been on CPAP for about two weeks now and I am beginning to notice some subtle changes.
And good luck on figuring out the continuing issues to sorting it all out. You're off to a great start!
