Post by TonyE » Mon Dec 16, 2013 7:56 pm

I think I have got lucky and my settings are good I have min 6 and max 11 epr 2 humidity of 3.5 only a AHI of 1.10 last night. should I leave the settings as they are or is there some tweaking I could do. I have add a screenshot of last night hopefully I have done it right

How is the leak data? That was cut off the screen shot you posted. (You can turn the AHI graph off to make room for the leak graph.)

If the leaks are consistently staying below 24 L/min, then leave the settings where they are for several days. If the data continues to look this good AND you're sleeping ok, then leave the settings here for several weeks. There's no point in tweaking things that ain't broke. And this data looks very good---if the leaks are under control. Play with the humidifier only if your nose starts to get too dry.

If the leaks are NOT consistently staying below 24 L/min, then you need to focus on fixing leaks rather than tweaking the pressure settings, the EPR, or the humidifier.

You might also need to turn off "Mask Pressure" graph to get the leak graph up into viewing area but we don't really need to see it.
You can tell pretty easily if your leaks are acceptable or not.

Same thing Robysue has said...if you are sleeping well and feeling decent...there's nothing here that points to anything that needs work.
You will likely find that things will vary a little anyway from night to night as that is normal.
I would sit back and enjoy the ride if it were me. That's what I like to do. Find something that works well and just sit back and watch it long term.

My average leaks are just 2.14 so looking good I am sleeping well with it not felt any benefits as yet but only managed the last 3 nights had problems with getting mask on before falling to sleep putting mask on earlier so hopefully should be able to use it most nights from now on.

What does your flow limitation line look like?

Your flow limitation graph looks pretty boring (and that's good).

It was just a thought as sometimes the other data reports look good but the flow limitation graphs still shows a lot of activity which often means low level flow reductions that might (stress the might) mean less than optimal sleep.

This one here nowhere near reflects a lot of those reductions.

well getting a little excited only 1 obstructive apena last night so seems to be working now if I can just start sleeping a little longer each night I am sure I will start seeing some benefits. A little annoying that I have been going to doctors most of my adult life and only ever been given drugs which never worked on me anyway. All the lost sleep and the negative affects it has had on my life could of been avoided if just one of the doctors had taken the time to get me tested rather than just giving e drugs and sending me on my way. Oh well now I am now a very happy cpap user
