Simplus Disaster!

Post by StillSleeping » Mon Dec 09, 2013 12:47 am

Hello Guys!

This is my first post, I wish it was more positive!

Wondered if you had any suggestions for me.

The situation is: I got a Sizing guide for the Simplus, used it so very carefully, and ordered a large. Mask came, with great joy I tried it on, but its too big!!! I compared my clearly marked sizing guide, and compared it to the one IN the F&P Simplus packaging, and its different! The trouble is, now its open and I cannot return it. I now have a large mask with accompanying large price tag

The sizing guide was from F&P. I am sure its not on purpose, but its cost me an arm and a leg!

Any Ideas, any one?

I should have been a medium.

I'd take it up with the people that you got the guide from providing you bought the mask from them. If you got the sizing guide from one place and ordered from a second place, its on you.

Make sure the next order will fit. Jim

Sizing guides should be used as just that - guides, and you need to try the masks themselves before shelling out money you can't get back. People's faces are complicated - different tissues on different bones changing their interactions whenever we move, let alone lie down, turn over, gain 6 lbs, etc. etc. I've found the guides to not be that good and even after a decent (lying down) trial of some masks at dealers' the masks can morph into something unwearable after a week at home.

If you have no other recourse, at least all you have to replace is the cushion. Remember, the Simplus mask frame accepts all three sizes.

What Jay said.

Also, maybe you can sell or trade the large cushion for a medium.

One other thing. This mask comes with headgear for people with huge heads and the smaller size headgear is not yet available. The velcro runs the full length of the straps so the headgear can be adjusted to fit but I don't know what they were thinking when they designed it this way. Other than that the Simplus is the best mask by far that I've ever had.

I really like the Simplus, but it hasn't replaced my old reliable Quattro.

I have a medium Simplus mask and cushion that I''ll trade my medium cushion for your large cushion

send me a PM if you are interested

Dave
