Apap Help Resmed S9

Post by Gottop69 » Wed Dec 04, 2013 9:06 pm

I am new to the forums

I have the Resmed S9 with, climateline, H5I and ffm Quattro Fx.

I am waking up really stopped up and uncomfortable. I have been on it for 2 months. I have tried every setting on H5i and no luck. I live in Dallas tx. My pressure was set to 5-20 my 95% is 8.8. My ahi is 1.3.

Any suggestions or help would be awesome.

If you are "stopped up" ? You may need a Laxative

Have you tried saline solution before going to sleep? That ayr stuff is supposed to be pretty good stuff.

Have you replaced the filter on the machine?

Yes tried saline and have replaced filter. Last night left humidifier on 1 and hose on 74. Not as bad today.

Have you tried turning the humidifier completely OFF? If there's water in the tank, but no heat, the air will still pick up a wee bit of humidity. That's all some people need to be comfortable. There are even a few folks whose noses are happier with NO humidifier at all.

I will try that tonight. I have the climate line tubing. Will the air still be warm? I was told I may even have asthma

went back through and saw where you have it set to 1 and 74. I let mine autoadjust the humidity and keep the temp to 78. Works for me. I use about 3/4 a tank a night. More often than not, congested sinuses are a resule of too little humidity rather than too much.

My opinion is also that "Auto" should be used for the ClimateLine hose & then only the temperature would have to be set.

That maintains a constant 80% humidity no matter what temperature you set.

Well I just left ent. I have to have sinus surgery. And have my septum rebuilt. Seems fun. They want to do it before the first of the year.
