Time for a new machine

Post by dae3dae3 » Wed Dec 04, 2013 5:03 pm

It's been about five years on my machine so I've decided it is time to try to get a new machine and have my current machine as backup. I don't see any up to date lists for what the current preferred machine is now. I am currently using straight CPAP with pressure 15.5 and would like to have full data capability. I'm doing great with this setup. My thirty day average AHI is .3 so I certainly can't complain. Without CPAP my AHI was in the triple digits. Can someone give me a few options or direct me to an updated faq if there is one?

The mask arrayed isn't up to date. The phillips ds560 auto is comparable to the resmed autoset s9 only a little cheaper. Both are great machines ,resmed also has its confusing names be careful. Some people have had both here and they are on the fence ,either way . I like my ds560 auto but I've never had a s9 auto set.
Come back when you've narrowed the field , a lot of people here will help.

Most of my clients tell me the latest ResMed S9 Autoset with H5i humidifier and climate control circuit is the best machine they have ever used.

Based on required compliance, I'll have to say that particular machine does in fact have the most successful users.

Hope that helps, good luck!

I will pile on for the ResMed S9 as I have had three prior machines and this is the quietest machine I have ever used. Size for travel is okay. It easily slips in my backpack. A little more costly than most, but has been well worth it.

Thanks for the suggestions. This should be enough to get started with. I had actually found the wordpress link from above but it says "as of September 2011" so assumed it wasn't up to date.

I have a resmed s7 for sale, 2100 hours. It has the cord, carrycase, and the machine. I'm asking $200.
