My DME provider didn't carry the masks from HR. So I called and after a few weeks they got a sample shipment of the 7600's. He gave me one and I'm going to give it a test run tonight.
Question... is there a big difference in fit with the head straps that came with it (it looks like a fishing net of some sort) versus the other one (I think it's called a "V Foam" or something like that)? I was just wondering if it pulled at a slightly different angle thus giving a better nose seal. In the office today, I had to cinch it down somewhat tight to stop the nose bridge leaking. I tried the small and the medium mask. The small was a tighter fit, but was collapsing my nostrils while resting on them. The medium was a much better all around fit, but as I said, had to be tight to work. Seeing as how this isn't a ridged mask, I hope the tightness won't cause any problems... sore spots.
Thanks for your input.

If you have the chance to get the foam I would go with that instead of the mesh. I had more problems with the mesh when I tested it at my DME's office so I held off buying one until I had my second sleep study. Then they gave me the V foam. It allowed me to get a much better fit.
One tip - go one size smaller than you normally go with other masks - large would go down to a medium. Hans Rudolph sizes usually run on the large size compared to others.

To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.
Woo-hoo... As I said, the 7600 mask my sleep center gave me only came with the fishnet headgear (a large at that) which didn't fit properly (this was just a batch of sample stuff they got from the manufacturer btw).
I called Hans Rudolph and they're going to send me a new and improved prototype version of the existing VFoam headgear to test out (not even on the market yet)! If I remember correctly, he said it had 7 points of adjustment. All I have to do is give them feedback on it. If someone gives me free equipment, I'll give them feedback all day long! THANKS HANS RUDOLPH!
Btw, I tried the medium 7600 last night with make shift headgear I scavenged from a Respironics nasal mask. I'm going back in today to get the small mask to see if that works any better (I was told to keep the medium, that they didn't need it back... so now I have two). The improvised headgear wasn't the greatest fit, but it was better than the fishnet HR sent. I also had to wrap a chin strap around the nose of the mask to keep it pulled tight to my face. I kept waking myself up snoring with this setup for some reason so after about an hour, I switched back to my tried and true F&P 431.
I REALLY hope this new mask works...
