How long does a Sleepweaver Advance mask last?

Post by KimberlyM » Thu Nov 21, 2013 8:22 pm

How long does your Sleepweaver Advance masks last before you have to replace them? Is it the headgear that wears out or the nose piece? I have been using the Advance for a few months now and cycle between two of them. I really like this mask and insurance covers them every 6 months. I want to use them as long as possible and build up a supply. After three years on CPAP, It is the most comfortable mask I have every tried. Thanks in advance for your replies!

I tried the SleepWeaver Advanced for about 6 months. When I was due for replacement I found the SW Élan which I like even better. I don't remember exact timing but I think it was getting close to 2 years by the time I convinced Apria to replace the Élan. Both the head gear and the cloth were well used and ready to retire.
If you like the advanced you may love the Élan as I do.

Thank you! I have been considering the Elan. I may have to give that a try when I am due for a replacement.
