From reading lots of posts, it is apparent that many of us have been on sleep meds at one time or another.
I am curious to know if anyone has been on meds to stay awake during the day.

Warning!!! Sleep deprived Dachshunds growl and bite! (They aren't nearly as mad as they used to be!)
I guess it does - I was a consumer of mass quantities of Coke (the drink!) until about a week and a half ago. I had a little relapse today because the power went out last night due to a thunderstorm and I had to sleep without my machine for a little while. I can really tell the difference of having even a partial night without CPAP.
Anyway, I was looking more for prescribed meds, just out of curiosity.

Stay Awake Meds
Hi Terri. I take Provigil to help stay awake and alert during the daytime. It has made a big difference, in fact, my doc says not to drive without it. But to be honest, when I'm truly crashing, meds or nothing stops me. But is helps with that draggy, dozey, out-of-sync kind of feeling - makes me feel more "connected". It's very expensive. My doc recently switched me to Concerta since I was sleeping on the Provigil at times. Just finishing up the Provigil before starting the other. Can tell a definite difference in functionality when I take the medication.
