Re: silicone allergy
Pad a cheek liners. They are very soft ,washable, keep oil off silicone , keep mask clean , wicks away breath moisture, slows leaks down . I love mine , I wash them every 4 days . I have no affiliation with pad a cheek , Karen - the owner is very helpful . She custom makes them for masks , so you will need to pin down your mask for her . Buy 2 , so you can rotate them on wash day . They hold up very well to washing by hand and air drying . I put a little non scented fabric softener in last rinse .
You may have a poorly fit mask at this point , masks are the biggest problem on here , you will have to go through different masks until you find one that works for you. Different face structure demands , type of breathing , claustrophobic problems ---mean we are all different .
List your profile on here so people can help you with your equipment - you have come to the right place there lots of help here-- do your part so they can customize your treatment with you. List your ah1 from your sleep study in comments and your settings on your machine . Good sleeping to you.

Re: silicone allergy
Get some Lansinoh (lanolin cream) and use it in your nostrils before putting the mask on... should help!

You can also cut a simple gasket out of old t-shirt. Viva towel, dried out baby wipe (soft), or facial tissue.
Do be sure your straps are not too tight. It is a common problem, and causes much pain.
If you can't get a good seal without hurting your face, you need a different size or a different mask.

Re: silicone allergy
I also experienced severe reaction to silicone masks. I tried Mirage full face and nasal masks and from the moment I put them on my face would burn. I tried to add liners but I still had trouble with the material and/or pressure. I don't know what machine you have, but I read posts on this forum about the Swift FX for her (they have one for guys, too) and purchased one. I do use a pad-a-cheek liner and the strap covers on it so the only thing the silicone touches is around the openings of my nose. The first couple of nights I noticed the skin breaking down, so found some info on this site about using Lanisol product that you can purchase at Walgreens. I have now been able to keep a mask on all night, without horrible reactions, for over a week. Use the search on this site to find others who have used your machine or mask. So many good ideas to try! Good luck!

Re: silicone allergy
Also consider Sleepweaver masks.
If silicone is the problem, then one of these may be the ticket.
