Thanks for the tips i loosened the mask it was a great help. It stopped most of the leaks. Also my huspand made me a "mask cozy" for my forhead and that helped my forehead redness. I ended up wirh a dry throat last night so I turned up the humidity... was that right or do I turn it down?

Furi,

Sometimes, what this takes is looking at it from a different point of view…

1) If you had a broken arm, would you be embarrassed about having a cast? Probably not. Think of your breathing as being broken, and CPAP is the cast that will help you heal up.

2) Your husband is probably worried about you. Getting treatment, especially as you start to sleep better and get more energy back, is probably going to really help him get some peace of mind. Rather than thinking about embarrassment, think about making sure that you are going to use CPAP so you can live a good long life with your favorite guy. He will appreciate it, especially if he understands how serious some of the side effects of apnea can be (like stroke, heart damage, brain damage, etc).

Thank you John! That really gives me a different look at things thats for sure. And your right he would not look at me in disgust if I had a broken leg. I guess I should stop thinking about my looks and be happy I have a way to feel healthy!
