Where Do I Sell my ResMed Vpap Adapt SV

Post by fayhog2001 » Tue Nov 05, 2013 9:48 am

I am looking for information on where to sell my ResMed VPAP Adapt SV? The machine is practically brand new as I only used it for two months prior to having weight loss surgery. I no longer am in need of the machine (yay for losing 170lbs!) and am trying ot sell it to someone in need.

If anyone has any information for me I'd certainly appreciate the info!!

Unless you paid for it out of pocket, your insurance company was probably renting it. As soon as you stop using it, they'll stop paying the rental fee, and it will need to be returned to the DME. So it's not likely to be yours to sell.

But congratulations on the weight loss!

Your Adapt is designed to treat OSA as well as central apneas. Central apneas aren't necessarily eliminated by weight loss. So selling is definitely premature. You better keep it because you'll most likely still need it.

This would be a great time for another sleep study. I would highly advise an in lab study over a home study when you have a history of centrals.

Hi!

My husband needs that exact machine. How much are you selling it for and where are you located?

We are in California.
