post sleep study.

Post by need_some_sleep » Thu Oct 31, 2013 1:41 pm

had my sleep study a couple nights ago. pat of the night I did spend with a full face mask on, and I have to say that after waking up I felt better than I have in The last ten years. I forgot what it felt like to sleep deeply into REM sleep. before the mask went on there was none of that. I now to say that I am so anxious to get a machine again. my friends asked what I had done with the guy from last week. just a few hours of deep sleeping did wonders for my mood and outward appearance. today I'm back to no REM sleep and the somewhat crabby guy. I just have to keep in mind that some relief is on the way.

I know how anxious I was waiting for that machine to arrive. Knowing how good the therapy makes you feel will make the battle with the mask bearable.

I was on vacation for 2 weeks when I started my therapy, and after going back to work most of the people I work with told me to go back to sleep they liked me better
sleeping at my desk.

I wish you well on this journey..

While you're in "Hurry up and wait mode", it's time to do some real research about both CPAP machines and OSA.

Here is the link to My advice for those newly diagnosed with OSA

Also be sure to read JanKnitz's What you need to know before you meet your DME.
