Air Leaks with gel masks

Post by GrandmaC » Mon Oct 28, 2013 7:10 am

I've had problems with leaks with both the ResMed Quattro ™ FX Full Face and a similar one that just covers the nose. Are there common causes for leaks?

I occasionally had problems with my nasal mask and FFM later during the night when oil from my skin caused the mask to lose the seal. I solved it by using RemZZZ mask liners. I know that isn't the only cause of leaks though, so others will likely offer suggestions.

What pressure are you using?
People needing higher pressures seem to have good luck with mask liners. Have you ever tried one?
Padacheek makes some great liners that are very durable and last for months.

Remzzs makes some disposable liners...Becky will send you a free sample pack if you will give her the necessary information..mask used and where to send it. Just send her a private message.

Other than to offer the mask liner suggestion...I am pretty useless with any ideas on how to use a FFM..never owned one.

Oh...you can even make a homemade mask liner out of an old Tshirt if you want to try one.
